Former Fox News host Greta Van Sustren has accepted a position at MSNBC. Van Sustren will be taking over the network’s 6pm time slot that was previously held by the show “With All Due Respect” which ended back in December. Her new show will be called “For the Record” a title that is strikingly similar to Van Sustren’s Fox News show “On the Record”
Van Sustren spend 14 years at Fox News before abruptly leaving the network prior the the end of the election.
For the Record will be a show that includes both hard news and commentary. The idea is for the show to be a bridge between the news shows in the morning and the more opinionated programs in the evening.
The new show will be opposite CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer and Fox New’s Special Report with Bret Baier.
Following NBC’s recent pick up of Megyn Kelly it seems that NBC and MSNBC as shaking things up by taking on a prominent Fox News alumni.
Tucker Carlson will be moving to replace Megyn Kelly’s time slot on Fox and Martha MacCallum will be moving into Tucker’s spot.
Thus the post election cable news shake ups continue.
